We're still alive, I promise!

So this thing tells me my last post was January 9th. That is almost 4 months ago! My sister, yes, my own sister, told me she had stopped checking my blog because I never update it. I can't blame her though. FOUR months? What have we been doing for the last four months? Well, I will try to give you a run-down into what we've been up to!
- We became an aunt and uncle again - Bramley Ann Williams was born on 2/10/09! She's an absolute doll and we're all proud to welcome her into our family!
- I (Elliot) am serving as Chair of the Preschool committee at our church and have been very heavily involved in making recommendations as to how we can more effectively minister to parents and young children. This has included recommendations for facility enhancements and program/curriculum changes. You have no idea how many hours have gone into this...countless meetings, coffee breaks, etc. It's amazing to see how God has been working in our church, and in my life personally.
- January 25th - Bradford was dedicated at our church! It was a wonderful day and that sweet baby girl was totally in her element. She just stared wide-eyed at the preacher and the choir and the entire congregation. She seemed so happy and I cannot tell you the amount of people who were still talking about her two weeks later! The day was really special for us as parents as we committed to brining up our precious daughter to know the Lord. We had a small brunch at our house for family and a few close friends.
- Bradford unfortunately has had a few ear infections. One in her left, one in her right, and then, right before our Easter trip to Chattanooga, she got a double ear infection! We seem to know she is getting one when she is up several times during the night. But overall her demeanor is very pleasant so we can't complain. Poor thing though...we know it's awful.
- Chris and I started a work-out program called P90X. This required us to get up at 5AM and put the pedal to the medal before our early risers are up for good. That is usually around 6AM, give or take a few minutes. With the ear infections however, we have been rather slack I must say. So we're now starting the program over with a fresh start! We were great for 5 weeks solid...and it's a 90 day program...so, we'll see!
- We took a family vacation to Chattanooga during Easter! It was the Patterson family...Mom and Dad, and Erin, Jay and Elijah Brooks. We had a great time! Well, the first few hours we were there we dodged a tornado, experienced a power-outage for a few hours, and prayed that the Joye family would be safe as they drove through torrential rain and hail. Once everyone was there, together, and safe (and the power was back on, of course), we could relax. I took over 700 pictures of the trip and will post all of them. Well, maybe 3 or 4.
- Chris still enjoys his work and is doing very well. He travels overnight occasionally...but mainly takes day-trips when he goes out of town.
- I am working on Thursdays - thanks to our wonderful, super, kind, awesome mothers who alternate weeks to drive up here and keep the kids. We are blessed beyond measure to not only have them to help us out, but to have wonderful fathers who very willingly let them come up here. WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!
- Wyatt started taking swim lessons! He's had two lessons and his 3rd is in the morning. Surprisingly, he loves it and seems comfortable in the water. He doesn't like his head to go under yet so we're taking that part slow. But we're getting there. I did him a huge dis-service last summer by not enrolling him in lessons somewhere. I was just big and fat and uncomfortable. Plus I had a lot of round ligament pain and it prevented me from certain movements. Oh, I was pregnant...should have mentioned that but I figured most of you knew that.
- Bradford is now 9 months old. NINE months! Where has the time gone? She has been army crawling for 2 months and loves to walk when you hold her hands. She's been "walking" since 6 months. She is in to EVERYTHING! Put her on the floor and she's gone! Today she got stuck in the wrought iron rungs of our end table and was just a hollering! Her little legs are so chubby that we literally had to "pop" her out. She cried for about 1 minute and then got over it. She does that...nothing really phases her for that long. Poor big brother...he was so upset over her crying and being stuck that he ran into his room, shut the door, and cried for about 20 minutes solid. Sweet big brother. Oh, Bradford is totally fine in case you wondered. She had just gotten herself in a pinch.
- Bradford cut her first tooth last Saturday, one day after her 9 month birthday. And then the next day I saw tooth #2. That Saturday, she thought she could eat pollen, a blade of grass, a speck of dirt, and a Little Einstein bandaid. We really do watch her like a hawk I promise. She is just that quick!
- Wyatt is doing very well in school. He had his Spring program and sang all sorts of fun songs for us. Well, he really didn't actually sing much on stage...we think it's because there were so many parents there with camera and video cameras that most of the kids got stage-fright. But he's been singing those songs every day for months now and it's so fun to try and sing along with him. He has an amazing memory...can remember things that happened months ago that I have completely forgotten. His teacher tells us that Wyatt is one of those kids who just "gets it." She looks forward to his reports each morning on what's going on at our house. He's told her that Bradford had to go to the hospital in an ambulance (yes, that is true...she fell off the table and it was singlehandedly the scariest day in our life. She is perfectly OK though); he told his teacher that a roach was in Brad's room; that our house is "for sailing"; that our animals went to the doctor, etc. He is extremely verbal for his age and it is amazing at some of the conversations we have together. He picks up on things really easy. Sometimes too easy!
- We celebrated 8 years of marraige on April 28th! Well, Chris was out of town and we haven't done anything special yet, but we really do love each other :-)
- And I guess the next big thing that we've done is put our house on the market! Yes, our house that we've been in for 8 years...our first house together...the house we brought our babies home to...but we're getting a little bit tight so it's time to find something that will enable us to move around a bit better as the kids get older. And who knows...we may even try for #3! We'll cross that bridge at a later date...not now.

Well, are you asleep yet? I know that was a lot to read (if anyone really read it all), but that's what I get for not writing in 4 months. I promise I'll be more dilligent about this. I know I need to keep up. Pictures of the kids coming!

WHAT???? Do my eyes deceive me? And you cousin as well as your sister stopped reading your blog months ago. It popped up on my blog tonight that you had updated yours and I thought it was a mistake. :-) Just kidding. I am so glad to read all of your updates and no, I can't believe that that Bradford is 9 months either. It seems like we just came to see her in the hospital yesterday.

I am so proud of you sis!! And yes, I read every word...., even though I already knew most of this stuff (except for Miss B trying to eat a Little Einstein bandaid)! Hilarious! Thank you for updating your blog. I know your time is precious these days.

You're the best!
