Wyatt is quite the talker. I told Chris the other day that I am really enjoying carrying on actual and real conversations with him these days. He has always been very verbal for his age, and this week has been no exception. I picked him up from school this week and he told me that he learned about the color orange. I asked him what his favorite color was and he told me it was pink. Then he proceeded to tell me that Mimi and Merritt's favorite color was pink, Will's was green, Joseph's was blue and JB's was orange. Oh, I think Flynn's was purple. He also informed me that he had a rock in his lunch box. A what? But when we got home and I was unpacking his things, he showed me that he indeed had a rock in his lunch box. Said he picked it up from the playground and Mimi tried to take it. Tonight we had dinner with Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Kevin at Jim n' Nicks BBQ. After I fed Bradford in the bathroom (yes...I'm getting used to feeding her most anywhere these days!), I brought Wyatt to the bathroom with me. As I was in the stall, imagine being in the bathroom and overhearing this conversation...(and there were people in there laughing)...
"Mommy, where's the flusher thing?"
"It's right here Wyatt"
"Mommy, you want to flush the potty?"
"Yes, Wyatt, I'll flush it when I'm done"
"Mommy, here's you some toilet paper" (as he is unrolling ALL of it)
"Let's not unroll all of it Wyatt. We need to save some for the next person."
"Who is that person?"
"I don't know who it is."
"But what they name?"
"I really don't know sweetie."
"Mommy, what is this?"
"It's part of the thing that holds the toilet paper together."
"It has teeth Mommy!"
"Yes Wyatt, it does look like it has teeth"
"Toilet paper has teeth Mommy!"
BIG SMILE from Wyatt. Lots of laughter from the next stall. Lots of laughter from Mommy as well. What a sweetie.
